The Loc-Line side flow nozzle hose fitting is made of orange acetal copolymer plastic, connects to Loc-Line modular hose on both ends, and has a small branch with a round opening for an outlet flow in a continuing run of hose. The acetal copolymer plastic resists corrosion and moisture and can be used with acetone, alcohol, ethyl, greases, oils, commercial dish detergents, gasoline, lacquer solvents, and sodium hydroxide. The fitting has a maximum operating temperature of 170 degrees F. The material meets National Sanitation Foundation (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) 14, 51, and 61 specifications for use with drinking (potable) water, and complies with Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) and Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standards. The component connects to other Loc-Line components by a ball-and-socket design that snaps together for a tight seal. These came un-assembled in a bag. The Loc-Line pliers are a must. I had to give these an extra push to get them snapped together (unlike the straight blue pieces that go together easily with the pliers).I haven't tested them yet, but I'm using these as a wort return line for my brew mash tun and I think they will work great (it's very possible that grain will clog the spout, so i'm leaving the line open at the end with a snap-in valve, and then close the value when using for sparging.
