This Dixon Holedall hose fitting is made of plated carbon steel and connects hose to grooved pipe. This adapter has a groove on one end for connecting to pipe with a groove clamp (sold separately). The barbed fitting creates a tight seal on hose when used with a compatible ferrule (sold separately)and the barbed stem is for use with the Holedall external swage coupling system that seals the ferrule with a hydraulic ram for high-pressure applications (each sold separately). This fitting is made of carbon steel for hardness and strength, and is zinc-plated for resistance to rust.
