Can be replaced from under vehicle without dropping tank or lifting bed. Be sure to clean all rust off of the metal line coming out of the fuel pump.I had a bit of rust on the line and at first did a quick clean with a scotch brite pad. The connector seemed to go on and couldn't be pulled off before it was latched. When I started it up I heard a pop, which was the line popping off the fitting.I scrapped the fitting clean with an old wood chisel. This time the connector was free to slide back and forth a bit easily even when latched and could be removed before latching. Apparently the rust increased the diameter of the fuel pump line enough that it jammed in the connector before it was fully seated.Darn squirrels bit the line causing a small nick which was spraying a fine mist of fuel. ..........
