This shower head has been sitting on my wishlist for years. I finally was reminded of the crappy shower head in my townhouse when I went to a upper end hotel and had an experience with a really good shower head. I finally bit the billet and spent the $90 for this. I really wish I had spent that earlier.InstallationInstallation went just as easy as any other shower head. If you’ve done it before, you’ll be able to do it with this one. If you haven’t, it really isn’t hard at all. You will only need some Teflon tape, which can be found very cheaply at any hardware store. The only part of the installation that was not easy was determining which end of the house to attach to the shower head. The instructions say the swivel end, but neither end of the hose swivel when attached to the shower head. I’m still not confident that I got it right, but it works fine.ConstructionThe construction is a lightweight plastic, which is why I delayed for so long in buying. The price is a little steep for plastic, $90 is approaching name brand metal shower heads, and I definitely think the company is taking a higher percentage of profit on this than most shower head manufacturers are. If my reaction was not what it was, I would be upset.First Shower ExperienceMy first shower convinced me that I made the right choice in purchasing this shower head. There was a noticeable difference in overall coverage of water on me. There probably isn’t an increase of flow, it just distributed the water more fully. There was no noticeable drop in temperature, as you may wonder, considering there is less volume to the individual streams of water. The pressure on my skin was a very comfortable medium pressure, not a jet of water, but enough to make me feel like it had enough power to wash away soap and shampoo.Final ThoughtsI am very pleased with this purchase. The price is a little high, but the overall experience does not make me feel like I wasted my money. A word of warning, because the nozzles are smaller then a traditional shower head, if you have very hard water, they might clog more rapidly. I would suggest some type of inline filter.1st of all. It slips off lips off every once in a while.. So far once a week. But other than that it's perfect it's lightweight it's not complicated there aren't too many parts and feels great. I would say I only wish I had bought a new one here . Not because it's bad or anything but simply because I like it so much I wish it was brand newI have gone though 6 different plastic handheld sprayers from waterpik, to no name brands I stumbled across. Every single one of them I spent less than 50 dollars on. They were all plastic, they all developed leaks after about a year or two of use. All of them were 2.5gpm flow. I noticed the 2 head systems really use more water, and I'd run out of hot water on winter months. Since I've received this showhead, I've never run out of hotwater during a shower, even during cold nights. It's flow is slightly less than 2.5, but feels like more coverage and pressure than any of the other showerheads I've purchased - it covers my entire back easily. The one thing I noticed, is that the head makes the water droplets so small that it creates more steam in my bathroom more quickly than other shower heads. I love this fact, because it really helps clear my sinuses, and makes me feel so much more refreshed after the shower (shower bombs are quite awesome with it) The extra water droplets look like a mist setting on the other heads, but the mist doesn't sting like a lot of the other head's mist settings did. It does produce more vapor, but it's not a big issue, since I live in Colorado where we have about 20% humidity on average - but if you live in a very humid spot, the extra steam/condensation may create issues. The only downside is the lack of settings, you just get one, but to be honest, i don't really miss any of the other 4-7 settings the other heads had besides the water-saving setting where you can get all sudsy without wasting a bunch of water. But the fact this head uses less water/minute kind of makes up for that fact. Really does a good job of washing hair, and at the end of the shower washing my face, i don't even need to wipe away any suds, the coverage from this head does a great job washing off soap for having less gpm. It's very lightweight, but according to manufacturer, it's not plastic. It definitely looks like metal from a distance, but you can feel the difference. Even though it's light, I've dropped it and it's swung and smashed against my tub several times with no damage whatsoever, so definitely more sturdy than the plastic ones that's happened to, and they've shattered. Such a unique design, being eco friendly, along with having the best pressure/coverage ratio to length of shower, has justified the price in my eyes.This showerhead is my second from methven with the first being the AIO that was also severely underwhelming until the flow restrictor was removed (needle nose plier and just pull by the little tabs, you might break it but that thing deserves to be broken)The RUA is very similar with a slightly different shape. The shower experience is very similar and is really something else. There's pressure but also excellent coverage in a way that I have not experienced outside of Methven. And that includes luxury rainfall heads. It's nuts that you actually get recoil when this thing turns on.This single head feels infinitely better than the overhead plus body spray of the nebia that I removed in favor of this which I had originally picked because I thought the coverage would be satisfying.I'm not sure if the following changes have been made to the aio as well but the rua as of 2021 improves upon the original by adding a rubber ring that makes it stay in the holder more easily and the hose has been improved I think (this is a decent metal one now)Shower head itself feels lightweight and cheap. The chrome is also cheap looking and the lack of more premium colors / metals is annoying but the shower experience makes up for all that.There were a few reasons why I returned this. I'll first mention the great features:1. Unmatched pressure and water coverage. This thing gets you VERY wet. From my experience, something with this much coverage doesn't have nearly as much pressure. I have good water pressure mind you.2. Light weight. This may be a pro or a con, if it makes you feel that its cheap. I personally loved how light it was, easier to move around with and didn't feel like you were going to drop it or it would hit the tub hard if it slipped your hand.3. Looks great.4. Easy and flawless installation. You don't need to tighten things very hard for it to just work.Cons/Why I returned it:1. Features for the price wasn't quite there. I would have paid 80 dollars at most, not 120 + tax. This wasn't a deal breaker for me but when you look at what other products offer for less, this just isn't quite the best decision to get.2. It almost hit the ceiling of my shower because of the way it mounts so you had to be careful pulling it out or you'd bonk it trying to get it out everytime.3. Company isn't North American so warranting parts, I can imagine is impossible or a bit of a nightmare. Where as other domestic companies will send you replacement parts for free.4. Im not sure if I could have removed this, but I think there was something to stop the flow from going the opposite way. What this caused is this leaking sound to happen all night and it was quite irritating. The water was falling back down the water pipe before it gets to the showerhead(main reason for return, it was driving me bonkers) Sometimes if I took the showerhead off the holder and let it dangle it would make it go away.. not always.Over all, I ended up feeling unsatisfied for how much I paid. Its a great product but felt kinda gimmicky to me in the end.When I first installed this, I was really disappointed. The hose feels cheap, the holder does a awful job of holding the showerhead and doesn't quite fit right and the actual showerhead itself is weightless in a bad way - it feels fragile and I much prefer the nice heft of pretty much every other showerhead I've used.The spray was sad and ineffective. It got me wet but was not satisfying whatsoever. Uh oh.It is kinda heavy and expensive to ship back so i sucked it up, removed the flow restrictor, and popped it into the guest bathroom. And bam. This thing shines without the pesky green colored demon shackle of a flow restrictor. Suddenly, this felt like a giant monsoon flying right at me that drenched my whole body. The pressure is weaker than I'd like but that's a sacrifice of the wide coverage that I'm happy to trade off.So a begrudging 4* here. Lots I disliked but when it comes down to it, the spray was fantastic.This shower head leaks at every connection. It's flimsy so if you try to tighten it, too much it will likely snap. The leaks have made the water pressure even lighter than it's supposed to be, so it wasn't a great experience. I pre-ordered this item for my new home before we moved, because I didn't want it to sell out before I needed it. That was a big mistake because by the time I realized it was a junker my return window had closed only days prior. What a waste. :( I really wanted to like this shower head. Pro, it's beautiful if you get one that works as it's supposed to.This shower head looks high tech and the reviews online are very good (the two top reasons I purchased this item) but if you enjoy a stimulating shower with massage-like water pressure look for other options, It's more of a gentle soaking. Installation was pretty easy but be careful it's all plastic and can be cracked or scratched, so why is it so expensive!? I cannot recommend this super lightweight and pricey shower head, it is definitely not worth the money in my opinion. But if you're into the design rather than a stimulating shower than this is for you.
