ACDelco Professional Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Assemblies are premium aftermarket replacement assemblies which effectively transfer high pressure power steering fluid from the vehicle’s power steering pump to the power steering gear or rack and pinion assembly. Every power steering hose assembly comes complete with hoses, zinc or plated end fittings, brackets, sensor ports, sheathing, bushings, and grommets where required. Extensive field examination and testing has been carried out to assure the proper fit for many vehicles on the road today. These premium aftermarket replacement power steering pressure line hose assemblies are manufactured to meet your expectations for fit, form, and function.
Silver heat guard helps protect hose in high-temperature areas
Fluid restrictors help absorb vibration and reduce noise
Double-lock beading tube end provides crimping and assists in leak prevention for hose/coupling integrity
Switch sockets allow reinstallation of original equipment pressure sensors
End-lock tabs position hose for accurate alignment and routing
This hose fixed a problem I was having in getting the high pressure line to seal on a rack and pinion replacement job for a 2003 Trailblazer. The factory caused a design change in the high pressure part that eliminated the (very expensive) little rubber hat seal in favor of a more traditional captured o-ring design. The o-ring design is MUCH better, but buyers need to realize that THE OLD SEAL MUST BE REMOVED -- something that the instructions say, all the on-line manuals say, and all the forums say -- but which many people ignore and then later struggle with. Further I also found that installation was made easier by tying the two lines together in the steel clamp with a nylon wire tie. That locked the two lines (high pressure and low pressure) into one unit that could be easily inserted into the rack and pinion without struggling to get all three parts (two lines and the steel clamp part) into place at one time.Fit and finish were good and the line fits and works well! It hooked to the power steering pump well and I found that it sealed first time, unlike the old line with that ever-so-cumbersome hat seal. For those in need, part number of the factory (only) stock SEAL is: 26080380 and cost is approx $20 each.
