I bought a Betta automatic pool skimmer and it kept getting stuck on the vacuum hose. I looked at cheaper weights, but saw a review that he had also bought these for the same reason.They are great quality, look good, they are very easy to put on, they fit the hose snug and the weight is perfect and I no longer have to keep getting the pool skimmer off of the hose. I funny know if the cheaper versions would work the same, but I'm happy with this purchase and would buy them again.
