Not only it's cost efficient it will be, in the long run will be cost effective, as the hose will help to keep the air cooler around hose expelled by the air conditioner. I found that on “my own” portable AC unit i have in my 5th Wheel RV, that if the air, the AC is trying to cool, stays under 83 degrees, the AC works effectively, anything above, the AC will not keep up and stops cooling.To fit to the 5.9" duct. The fit snug and takes a little work, but is achievable. But it will be dependent on how you are nit picky how you want the set up to look, where the seems noticeably exposed or if you want them concealed and hidden from sight.The overall quality is performance is excellent. Pliable and the ample stretch ability, but durable and stout .The hook and loop closure along the seam laps Are stitched with sturdiness and for a commendable performing quality hold. The sleeve does extremely well and beyond a good expectation of reducing the heat from the duct. Raging from 110 to 115 degrees F to around 92 to 95 degrees F is in my book, is a resounding performance for refusing heat from the duct to more efficiently exhaust out the tube opening to then outside.Great value and easy to use.
